Home Anonymous Operations The Anonymous Solidarity Network Jon Cowden “The Forgotten Anon”
Saturday 6 February 2016
Jon Cowden, known as “The Forgotten Anon” is currently incarcerated in the Federal medium security prison in Victorville, CA, in relation to charges of violations of the CFAA as a result of his online activism.
He was part of the Anonymous Operation, #OpFreePalestine hacking into Israeli websites as part of the ongoing Anonymous operations in support of the citizens of Gaza. Jon was arrested and re-imprisoned for possession of a smart phone and an iPad (neither of which was an actual violation of his Supervised Release terms), and for having a pocket knife in his bedroom.
Jon’s birthday is on February 18th and we want to make it as special as possible. Since we can’t throw him a birthday party in prison, we’re making it a Birthday Card Party!
He is incredibly appreciative and was overwhelmed to receive them. Right now he doesn’t have stamps or paper to write back to folks, but we have the list of those who provided their twitter or mailing info so that he can reach out to you when he gets out.
