The hacker groups Anonymous and LulzSec claimed to have made it public on December 24, 2011 as part of Operation #AntiSec, however Stratfor denied that the hack recovered the client list. WikiLeaks announced the initial publishing of over 5 million of the company’s email messages on February 26, 2012.
The Global Intelligence Files – more than five million emails from the Texas-headquartered "global intelligence" company Stratfor. The emails date from between July 2004 and late December 2011. The emails show Stratfor’s web of informers, pay-off structure, payment-laundering techniques and psychological methods.
