Sabu was arrested in June 2011 and identified as Hector Xavier Monsegur, a 28-year old unemployed father of two from New York’s Lower East Side. He later turned informant for the FBI, working with the agency for over ten months to aid them in identifying other hackers from Lulzsec and Anonymous. Sabu is a snitch! Sabu, helped the FBI send his friends to prison.
“I was especially interested in the work of the hackers of LulzSec who were breaking into some significant targets and becoming increasingly political. Around this time, I first started talking to Sabu, who was very open about the hacks he supposedly committed, and was encouraging hackers to unite and attack major government and corporate systems under the banner of Anti Security.”
“But very early in my involvement, the other Lulzsec hackers were arrested, leaving me to break into systems and write press releases. Later, I would learn that Sabu had been the first one arrested, and that the entire time I was talking to him he was an FBI informant.”
We are The Anonymous Solidarity Network (#FreeAnons) and until every Anon is free we will attest to the Anonymous creed, “We do not forgive. We do not forget.” The storm may have passed but so long as our comrades are held captive we will not allow the seas to be calm nor any ship to take refuge in still waters.
Donations to his commissary fund are also appreciated.
This fund will help support whistleblower Jeremy Hammond while he serves his 10-year prison sentence.
