Matt’s case is especially chilling given the torture and strange details of his case. We urge you to educate yourselves on what the American and Canadian governments have put Matt and his family through in the last few years.
Recently, Matt’s case took an unexpected turn and it appears that Matt will be spending a long time in incarceration. Since Matt will be separated from his family for many Christmases to come, and since Matt and his family traditionally celebrate Christmas together, we are calling for action from the global community.
We don’t have much time, but we can lift Matt’s spirits, even if it’s only for a moment and even if some of these cards/letters/postcards arrive after the actual holiday.
Let’s rally and send Matt an Xmas greeting, whether it be a card, a letter or a postcard, drop Matt a line to wish him the best this holiday season.
All we have to do is send Matt some love, it costs very little and it will mean a great deal not only to Matt, but to his Mum and Dad as well. So, grab a pen and paper, buy a funny card and send it along to our friend Matt Dehart. #FreeMattDehart!
Visit the website mattdehart.com for guidelines on mailing things to prisoners, info on sending books, money and gifts, if you so desire. We are not soliciting donations, we are giving you the info you may need to do what you can, and as always it’s up to you.
If you do decided to send a card or letter, please make sure to include his prisoner # and the complete address, and include a return address with a full name or the jail won’t accept your letter. There are more guidelines on the website mattdehart.com
Let’s remind Matt that we will NOT forget him and that he is always in our hearts, and we’re thinking of him and his family during this holiday season
