Adam Nafa was charged by the United States for posting a video to Youtube, to promote Operation Telecom, which was a protest against Verizon’s systematic corporate greed, and their efforts to have the FCC’s Net Neutrality Act overturned.
Adam Nafa, aka Lulzdog wrote on a public Anonymous IRC chat room “Anybody up for a DDoS of verizon?” “I think someone should DDoS the telcos”, “VZW and AT&T in particular”.
Less than a week later Anonymous posts a video to YouTube titled “Anonymous: #Operation Telecom” which warns of a distributed denial of service attack in October.
A month and a half later the FBI arrests Adam Nafa in New Jersey for “knowingly and intentionally conspiring with others to commit an offense against the United States, that is, to knowingly cause the transmission of a program, information, code, and command, and as a result of such conduct, intentionally cause damage without authorization to a protected computer”.
