Home Anonymous Operations Civil Liberties in the Digital World LibrePlanet 2017
Tuesday 21 March 2017
LibrePlanet is an annual conference hosted by the Free Software Foundation for people who care about their digital freedoms, bringing together software developers, policy experts, activists, and computer users to learn skills, share accomplishments, and address challenges facing the free software movement.
This year’s theme is The Roots of Freedom. Many talks will explore the historical roots of free software, including the Four Freedoms, copyleft through the GNU General Public License, and the rights to security and privacy. Others will focus on the movement that roots free software, and the contributions of its members to activism, the arts, education, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
LibrePlanet is produced in partnership by the Free Software Foundation and the Student Information Processing Board (SIPB) at MIT. Gratis for members and students!
