Since 1976 Project Censored has done pioneering research and work with independent media and investigative journalists. Over three decades Project Censored has trained nearly 2,000 students how to do investigative research, to advocate for the protection of the First Amendment and defend a free press in the United States. On the shameful 11 year Anniversary of the Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba, Andy shares some of the Guantanamo stories Project Censored has reported that haven’t crept into broader coverage. He explains how this fits into a broader picture of America as the best Democracy money can buy.
